Customize a Tote

Julie’s all ready for her next big trip with her “Professional Tote Bag”. It’s perfect with zippered compartments for her passport and iPad, side pockets for water bottles, and plenty of inside pockets for general “stuff”. Julie even added a fob inside to keep track of her keys! Monogramming on the front gives this bag a personal touch.

Sentimental Sewing

Colleen made this Double Wedding Ring quilt for her daughter’s wedding in August. It’s made out of all her daughter’s riding shirts. Those of you who have daughters who love horses (like I do!) will understand how special this quilt is!

Sudoku and quilting..Who knew?

Play Sudoku with your quilt blocks like Madelyn did and come up with a great lap quilt.  Nine patches with colors that symbolize numbers.  The pattern is from a book called Sudoku Quilts by Barbara Hershey.

June Second Saturday Sampler Show and Tell

I wonder what goodies there were this Saturday at the Show and Tell.  I didn't get there but I will post the show and tell soon.
Here are the July beauties.
Tina finished her six inch blocks for the 2011 Sat. Sampler. Love these little blocks.
Susan calls this quilt “ Reverse Square”. Nice job, Susan.
Nicole was super busy this month. She brought in three quilts to show.
“Raegan’s Quilt” which is the Ohio Star block repeated set block to block. Someone will be happy to own this one.  “Blakes Quilt” is a scrappy Log Cabin that Mary Ellen tried to claim for her grandson.   “Ladybug Picnic” is for Sarah. It is a split 9-Patch with freehand appliqué lady bugs. How cute is this. I’m sure Sarah will love it.

Jenny took the Professional Tote class with Jackie and made this great bag. Wish you could all see it. We fell in love with it.

More Second Saturday Sampler Show and Tell

Sandy has the first row of a star quilt she’s making for her grandson finished. He’s going into the Marines just as soon as high school graduation is over.
Michele made this Minkie Row Quilt for her daughter. It was a quilt as you go project and features Minkie on both the front and the back – so cuddly!

Second Saturday Sampler Show and Tell - May

This is what you are missing if you are not coming to LQ Second Saturday Sampler. This Saturday July 14, is your chance.

Carol Ann used up scraps to make this star stunner
Christine finished a 10-minute Table Runner for her mother-in-law for Mother’s Day
Christine learned how to make this cute little box in Groovy Girls. She’s also carrying the Linen Tote Bag from another class she took!

Stacy’s daughter, an interior decorator, picked the fabrics for this quilt – what an eye for color!
Love the fabrics Stacy used in this quilt!
