Creative Christmas Stockings

Anne made these adorable stockings for her grand grandchildren. She'll embroider their names and give them to the lucky children at Thanksgiving when they visit from Montana. What a keepsake!
They love the Elf on the Shelf!

August Second Saturday Sampler Show and Tell

Barb made this cute quilt for her nephew. Love the Prairie Points and bright colors!

Elsie wanted to practice paper piecing and she loved the technique so much she just kept going eventually making enough blocks for a whole quilt.

Loretta’s daughter gave her a “candy pack” (Candy Packs are sets of 2½” squares) and asked her to make something. We love the tablerunner she came up with!

Madelyn finished last year’s Saturday Sampler quilt.

Jelly Roll Stunners

Amy made this great quilt from a Kaffe Fassett jelly roll and added borders to make it bigger. A stunner!

And you thought you had too many sewing machines....

On a recent trip to Chicago, Fran came across this shop with sewing machines displayed all over, besides in the windows. Pictures of the insides….

Would you believe the bottom picture is a wall – 3 stories high with these machines on the wall! She had to send us these pictures as we probably wouldn’t believe her!

In Process...

Nancy is reproducing this quilt and using a lot of reproduction fabrics of the late 1800’s, like the chrome yellow, reds and greens. It is from a pattern called “Calico Paradise” 82” x 93. You can’t believe how large this is! Nancy has been in a few times for help in selecting her fabrics. She was in this time for her borders.
Can't wait for the finale!

Wedding Ring Piecing AND Applique Quilt.. Are You Kidding Me?!

Would you believe Toni started this quilt 12 years ago. It's a watercolor double wedding ring and it's 103" x 112". Her daughter is getting married next April so that's what has prompted her to have it quilted. What a beauty and what a wedding gift!
