Famous Judys

There is Judy Garland, Punch and Judy, Judy Carne, Judy Collins... sure they are famous but there is no Judy more famous to a quilter, than Judie Rothermel.  The countdown to her arrival at Little Quilts is 2 days! Friday she will visit Little Quilts as our reward for having the most entries in her 25th anniversary contest with Marcus Fabrics.
She will have some SERIOUS eye candy for us.  She has sent some Judy hand pieced and quilted quilts from her private collection.  Below is a photo preview! We’ll also have some of the quilts from the LQ contest entries.   Quite the show!

She is a fan of handquilting and reproduction genre quilts.  If you have any show and tell, come to our Meet and Greet Judie this Friday between 2PM and 5PM.  Her fabrics have been the "go to" line for the Civil War Block of the Month series that LQ has offered since the first one.  If you have one of these beauties, do bring it.  We can't get enough.

Quilting IS a gift...

Fran designed this quilt as a memory for a granddaughter who died of cancer. She designed it with the help of Wanda our Baltimore album teacher. We had it custom quilted for her. It will be presented to her granddaughter’s family. Fran designed the blocks with things that were special memories for her granddaughter.

Another Completed Saturday Sampler Show and Tell

Dagmar recently finished this quilt for her daughter who’s house is decorated in tans and taupes and neutrals….definitely the colors of today. She made it with the alternate quilt blocks from a Saturday Sampler series a few years ago. She brought it in and we had one of our long arm quilters finish it for her.

One Block Wonder

Beth brought her finished top from the One Block Wonder class and it turned out great! In One Block Wonder you use only 1 favorite fabric and make beautiful Kaleidoscope blocks with it. It’s a fun class and you can see the beautiful result. Beth used a Christmas fabric and plans to use some of the original fabric in the border to show how different it looks after it’s turned into kaleidos.

It's Here, It's Here!!!

Our newest fabric line, “Pheasant Run” is here! We’re so excited as it carries on with the style and grace of our previous “Reflection of the South” collections. The 19 fabrics are created in a mix and match palette of rich woodland browns, reds, caramels, blues and sages. We think you’ll love the pheasant toiles, 1800’s inspired flowers, paisleys and foulards from the line.

The focus fabric of Pheasant Run illustrates pheasants set in paisley cameos – the pheasants have been used in the center blocks of this beautiful 103” square bed quilt, Pheasant Run Log Cabin, which is available as a kit. Go to www.henryglassfabrics.com to see close-ups of all the fabrics in the line along with downloadable patterns for two bed-size quilts and a table runner.
