A Study in Taupe

One of the beautiful trunk shows we currently have in the shop is Traveling Taupe featuring kits for quilts and other projects using Daiwabo fabrics from Japan.  The fabrics play on subtle variations of hue by adding a tint or shade in small degrees from light to dark giving a very muted, soft  look that is distinctly Japanese.  Daiwabo taupes encompass a variety of colors subtly manipulated to a rich complexity far different than the dull "gray" we normally think of as taupe.
Union Square is 63" x 73" lap/twin quilt.  The kit includes all the fabrics for the top; you will need batting and backing.
Bon Bon incorporates a large variety of colors and makes a beautiful 54" square table topper or wall hanging.  Again, all fabrics are included except backing and batting.
If you'd like to experiment with Daiwabos in a smaller project, the Flying Geese Table Runner is 26" x 13".
For just a small introductory project, you might like to try a pincushion kit, a small change purse, or a sweet hexagon tray. Everything you need for the projects, like the tray or zippers, is included in the kits.  A great way to try working with these fascinating fabrics!
Kits are available by calling the shop (770-578-6727).
