My favorite quilt block is any quilt block that I am currently working on! It seems that just as I get a favorite, my next quilt comes along - and then, a new favorite appears. I need those shirtings!!!
ReplyDeleteIt's a close call between log cabin and sawtooth star. Please enter me in the drawing.
ReplyDeleteLet's see....my favorite block. I would think that it's Sunbonnet Sue. I've always loved her.
ReplyDeleteMy all-time favorite is the sawtooth star!
ReplyDeleteI have to say I love the nine patch block and of course any star block!!!!
ReplyDeleteLove shirtings so thank you for a great giveaway!
Kathie
Oh dear. I got to thinking. Not only do I love Sue, but there's something about the log cabin block and how versatile it is.
ReplyDeleteI guess I like all kinds of blocks. Must be way I'm working on the DJ quilt.
Hi
ReplyDeleteI've just discovered English paper piecing. Those little hexagons are so addictive. They grow so rapidly and they use up lots of left over fabric.
Julie
My favorite block is any one I'm working on but I do like traditional blocks, log cabin, pin wheel.
ReplyDeleteI'd love to add to my stash. I enjoy reading the blog.
Diana
"Stars" were in her eyes....the Variable Star block is my all time favorite....it is versatile, lovely and can be jazzed up in so many ways!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite quilt block is nine patch. Thank You for the chance to win. Hugs Debbie

ReplyDeleteMy favorite block is the log cabin. It's so easy to piece and you can set it a million different ways
ReplyDeleteOooh, fun drawing! The shirtings are wonderful! Have to say my favorite block is LeMoyne Star!
ReplyDeleteThank you for the opportunity, I have made a few Little Quilts from your patterns over the years! :-} Boy, hard to narrow down a favorite: hexagons, Dresden plates, hearts-pieced and appliqued, nine patch, too! I have done several string quilts, and I love their success rate.

ReplyDeleteI'm kind of partial to string quilts, does that count?
ReplyDeleteNice give a way...I'll be posting about it on my blog today.

What a fun give away. My favorite block is the nine patch, little tiny nine patches...
ReplyDeleteI have always love the Sunbonnet Sue and the Little Fisher Boys quilts. My mother made all 3 of her grandsons the Little Fisher Boys quilts. I love the colors in the fat quarters.
ReplyDeleteI've always loved Ohio Star blocks, especially in miniature. I have dozens of photos of O.S. quilts in my "to-do" quilt book.
ReplyDeleteWell... today my favorite block it the half square log cabin that Sharyn Craig did a book on several years ago. I just love how quick this block is. Every time you add a dark strip you have a completed block. (I think the book has just been reprinted) Of course my favorite block changes with the wind. A bundle of LQ shirtings would be great for my light in this block. Thanks for the chance to win them.
ReplyDeleteThough question on what my favorite kind of quilt block is. I do like the log cabin, but I'm also really into the modern freestyle quilting. Thanks for the cute giveaway. I think shirting fabrics are darling and fun to work with.

My favorite quilt block is something my husband gave me to celebrate our five years together. He watercolored a "pattern" and named it the "five patch." It's basically a nine patch but the two outer edges are 3 squares long. So, three squares in the center and two long rectangles on the sides. I thought it was clever. I made a mini version of it the other day and it went together easily. :D
ReplyDeleteI love any block that includes a star! I am a new quilter but have enjoyed making a Courthouse Square Block and the proverbial Nine Patch. Choices are endless! I would love to be entered into the drawing. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI love making 4-patches - I know they are simple, but I love making them! If I have a pile of scraps and can make 4-patches, I'm happy!
ReplyDeleteI guess alltime favorite block is the maple leaf. I think it reminds me of the fall color change.
ReplyDeleteHi.

ReplyDeleteI like the sawtooth star block. Thanks for the chance at some fat quarters... we can never have enough fabric!
ReplyDeleteLove the shirtings. My favorite block is Sister's Choice.
ReplyDeleteOoooh, this is a hard one, but I think I have to say that I love half-square triangles, because there's no waste and you can use them in so many ways - to become other blocks, borders, whatever.
ReplyDeleteThat is one difficult question but the answer is Sunbonnet Sue for me. She is my alter ego and I love to applique her somewhere on most of my quilts.

ReplyDeleteMy all time favorite block is the Bears Paw. Depending on where you are from it's been called the Ducks foot in the mud, (somedays you step in it somedays you don't)and the block has been called the Hand of Friendship. I love the latest version called the Dancing Paw. Reminds me of dancing bear on Captain Kangaroo..... now I:m really showing my age!
