Giving Thanks
Many of us have been working on the Little Pilgrims
embroidery Block of the Month this year which ended in October. . . just in
time to finish the quilt for Thanksgiving! This is how Muriel chose to set
her blocks.
Deborah chose a different setting idea for her
blocks and has her wall hanging totally finished, quilting and all! Pattern
sets for the Little Pilgrims blocks are still available at the shop.

Orange Pineapple Is A Stunner
The gals at Wool works that meets the second Friday of the month bring some great show & tell. Susan didn't get this log cabin finished for this Fall but she's ready for next Fall.
Great job..even though it's not done in wool!

Award Winner Mystery Quilt
Joan was one of the participants of the Border Creek Mystery Quilt we
did last year. She picked her own fabrics for the mystery and ended up
with this beauty which she quilted herself. Her quilt won a blue ribbon at
the Georgia State Fair and we encouraged her to submit it for the AQS show
in Paducah.

One Good Deed....
Quilters do great things! Fran, one of our teachers made this quilt for an event at her golf course. It was a fund raiser for the American Cancer Society and this quilt was auctioned off for $600. Quilts are always good to make and donate for a fund raiser at your schools or churches.
Primitive Quilts and Projects Magazine recently did a poll of readers to see how many did charitable projects. Here is a list of some of their charities and projects that their readers sew for.

Bear With Me....
Today is National American Teddy Bear Day
For a quilt shop, we certainly embrace our inner cuddly side. The teddy bear has graced the covers of Little Quilts patterns and helped deliver pattern instructions in their books.
Here is a photo of our Christmas decor with new bears to take home to your house.

VERY BIG Log Cabin Quilt
Gloria is making this king size Log Cabin for a friend. Since she was making a two color Log Cabin, she bought extra fabrics so she wouldn't run out. She had fabric left and is even making a coverlet for her bed from the leftovers. Great job!

Joining us on this auspicious day will be Martingale book author and Silver Thimble Quilt Company quilt designer, Pat Wys. She will be available Monday to sign her second book, Knock Out Neutrals starting at 11AM. Books available or bring your copy of her first book, Spotlight on Neutrals for her to sign. She will have quilts live and in person, from the book as well. It will be a tough call as to which one to make first.
