One of our good friends and long-time favorite customers, Sara Brown, lost her battle to cancer several weeks ago. Many of you knew Sara because she has been a part of our Second Saturday Sampler event since the first series many years ago.
Sara had a lovely family – husband, daughter, and two sons – who truly valued her quilts and took the time to bring many of them to hang in the church and Fellowship Hall for her funeral and reception. Pictured are just a few of the quilts that were displayed in the chapel. Those who attended the funeral were treated to a beautiful quilt show! Fabric with love sewn in, expressing love even after she was not there to give it in person. I wish you culd have all been there to hear the tributes and memoreis shared about her life. No wonder we valued her as the treasure that she was to all.
We would like to extend our condolences to Sara’s family and let them know how much she will be missed by all her friends and the staff at Little Quilts. We are beginning a new Second Saturday Sampler series this Saturday and it just won’t seem the same without Sara at the front of the line so we dedicate the 2014 Program to her.
Rest in peace, dear friend.
