I would name him Silas. We have this tradition in my family for the last few years. Our town has an annual Hide-the-Elf-on-the-Shelf event that goes on all over town. They hide him in 8 businesses each week and you have find him. Some locations get very creative and one year they played a game where you had to solve clues to figure out where he was. We always have great fun trying to find the elf.
