Here is one version of the Circuit Rider Quilt, setting in progress!  Dottie's Circuit Rider Quilt is done using fabric,  She is doing invisible machine applique for the vines and sashing and has selected a floral print for the border... more pictures are coming soon!

Mary Ellen is doing her Circuit Rider Quilt in wool.  It measures 46x58.  The border fabric she used is available.  Mary Ellen did this one with a button-hole stitch and used hand dyed wool for the flowers.

"The Circuit Rider's Quilt" By: Jenifer Dick
This early album style quilt pays homage to Reverend George G. Warvel of Eastern Ohio, an early circuit rider. In appreciation of his efforts women from his circuit joined together in 1862 to make a presentation quilt for him when he relocated. The original quilt, now housed at the Art Institute of Chicago, includes 42 appliqued blocks, each lovingly inscribed by the maker.

This is a drawing from EQ6 of the finished Circuit Rider Quilt.
